Pull Your Boobies Up!

Hey everyone! Hope that everyone is having a fantastic start to the weekend.

Since, I'm writing this at 12:15 in the morning,  I don't know if I can count Saturday as today or tomorrow, since I haven't really been to sleep yet. Oh well! It is the college kid coming out in me.

Anywho - Yesterday (Friday) Amy and I met up with our friend Melanie at Hershey Park and we had a blast catching up! Love having some gal pal time!

Today (Saturday - after I get a couple hours of shut eye) I'm going to be spending my day, cleaning and finish writing my sermon. That's write folks, I'm writing a sermon because I'm preaching this Sunday, as part of my internship. I'm more than a little nervous. I was talking to Gail, our lovely  and hilarious church secretary, the other day when I really needed a pep talk; I wasn't sure that I was able to write my sermon - the juices just weren't flowing. She said to me, "Laura, you are going to do just fine; it is just like writing a paper, but you don't have to worry about grammar or spelling!  So, pull your boobies up, and get up there and write your sermon!" She made me laugh so hard, and I went upstairs and got two pages written! Now, I just need to add a little, edit it, and we should be good to go. Maybe I'll share the audio on here, if you guys would like to hear!

I just realized that there are pretty many pictures on this post.  I think it is because I am so IN LOVE with this outfit. Seriously. If I could wear a version of this outfit everyday for the rest of my life, I definitely would. I just found these shorts on a recent thrift trip; it was half price Monday and they were less than $2! I have been looking for a pair of high-waisted shorts for awhile and these are just perfect.

Shirt - Thrifted
Shorts - Thrifted (originally J. Crew
Sandals - Payless (old)
Hair Bow - Thrifted - it is actually a bow tie; I also got it on half off day. What is half off 25 cents? 12.5 cents. Awesome and classy. :)
Necklace - Thrifted
Watch - It was my grandpa's actually! I wanted an "old man" watch since I pinned this; so my grandma let me look through some of the watches my grandpa had before she sold her house.

Okay. I really need to stop watching American Pickers and get to sleep.

Oh! Thanks to Miss Becky for taking these pictures at her house. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

xoxo,

Laura

These photos are stunning Laura! Doesn't PA have such pretty landscape? I love the casual retro outfit as well. Hershey Park is such a blast from the past for me - I haven't been there in years, but have so many sweet memories of summers past spent going to the park with my cousins.

Best wishes with your sermon this weekend:) xx Marisa
