Rappin' n' Rhymin'

Well folks, I think that it is safe to say that it is official...

I am definitely known as the thrift girl on campus.

I know that Juniata is small, but it is still sort of awesome. I have always thrifted because that is what I needed to do to dress how I wanted. Now, it has just become a bigger part of me than I ever thought possible.

I love when people that I don't know super well (or even at all) ask me about my blog or just thrifting in general and I have to say, it surprises me every single time.

However, the main reason that I know that I have been dubbed the thrift-y gal?

A bunch of friends both on and off campus have shown me this Macklemore song, saying that it always remind them of me and my passion for the thrift.

I have to say that I never thought that people would listen to a rap song and think of me. Whitney Houston? Possibly. Backstreet Boys? Most definitely. Some white guy rapping? Ha!
But, my roomie and I have certainly jammed to "Thrift Shop" plenty that it has become one of our new 'theme songs.'

So, from one thrift gal to another, give it a listen.

Warning: it will make you want to hit up the nearest thrift store ASAP.

I love your belt!
My friends think of me as the thrift-girl, too, and one of them posted that song on my facebook just last week haha!

That's so great that people on campus know about your blog and know of as the "thrift girl!" I'm so hesitant to share mine with people at school, but I love the response you get! I'm obsessed with the color of this dress, it looks gorgeous on you. Also, I'm not a rap fan at all, but one my friends shared that song with me too because it reminded him of me haha

Aw - well I'll say that's a pretty fantastic way to be known around campus :) Thrift girl - it sounds like a good name for a movie :) Loving your layers and the pretty color palette. That belt is a striking piece too! And are all those leaves still hanging on the trees in central PA? Wow - gorgeous. They have fallen long ago here in the northeast. xoxo

Hahah Backstreet Boys- I loved that. And for a thrift-y girl, your clothes look as good as store bought! I definitely didn't think thrifting would become such a big part of my life either, but it made my closet much more creative and my bank account happier. It's so cool a lot of people know about your blog, it must be fun to stop and talk about it :)
