Messages on the Window

Thank gosh, it is the weekend finally. Much needed after this crazy /stressful week.

I am super excited about my outfit post today a.) because its cute! b.) because the majority of it is thrifted! And that just makes me happy!

I threw on the hat as an afterthought, but I really liked how it works. When I got it, I originally thought, "oooh, this has a Miss Audrey feel to it." But, since  wearing it more, I feel more like it would be something that Stacey from the Baby-Sitters Club would wear.

Which, even though the books/TV series were made in 1990 (2 years before I was born!) I loved the Baby-Sitters Club as a kid; we had a lot of them in the house from my older sister.

What is your favorite book from your childhood? Have you ever gotten fashion inspiration from them?
Ladders!

Mustard Shirt -Thrifted (originally from Wal*Mart)
Long sleeve shirt - Hanes- Wal*Mart
Jeans- Thrifted (Levi Strauss)
Belt and Hat - Thrifted
Necklace - Bazaar at a near by nursing home - It has British half pennies on it from the 60's! It was only 50 cents!
Bracelet - A Christmas gift from my gal pal, Elena, but I'm pretty sure it was also thrifted. My friends know me so well. :)
Purse - Thrifted, Mulberry for Target brand. This has become my new favorite purse. It is the perfect size. Plus, it was only $2! Cheaper than Mulberry, cheaper than Target even! :)
Shoes- Free box at community yard sale day -Yeah, a free box! I grabbed them and ran, before those people realized they were CRAZY! - (originally from Fashion Bug)

The message on the window says "Learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow." I'm hoping  to get more pictures outside, but weather/busy schedules have really prevented it this week. So, I love the huge windows in our dorm, for some easy picture taking.

Have an awesome weekend! xoxo

Super cute!! I, too, was inspired by the Babysitter's Club. I wanted to be just like Claudia.

I was in elementary school in the early nineties, and I was IN the Babysitter's Club. OK, not really...but kinda. I was a member of the book club. My grandma paid for a year-long subscription and every month I got three new books in the mail. It was AWESOME!

Cute blog!
