Fearless Fourteen: March 17-23

Hey everyone,

This weekend has been pretty crazy, but wonderful! I traveled from work, to Shippensburg for a friend's birthday party, and then home for my siblings' birthday dinner. So many birthdays! Anyway, here is a glimpse of my last week!

March 17: These lovely flowers were on our table.

March 18: I thrifted this amazing pin - so perfect for me!

March 19: This Instagram shot of my lovely campus.

March 20: Packing, packing, packing.

March 21: Bath bombs shaped like cupcakes = the cutest.

March 22: Lauren and Hannah looking amazing and sparkly at Hannah's birthday party!

March 23: This is the pattern on my home comforter - it is one of my favorites.

Keep It Positive!

Hey hey there everyone!

This is an outfit that I wore a little bit ago as you can still see snow on the ground which is no longer there (hallelujah!) I really like this dress - I got it from a consignment shop when I was in New York City last year when I was in Spring Break, so it has a lot of good memories attached to it.

How are you lately? Honestly, I have been feeling a little anxious this past week. I feel like graduation is looming over my head.  Plus, I haven't been feeling well lately - I've been getting a lot of headaches and being highly tired lately. And whenever, that is happening I tend to let my past insecurities come back and effect me.

But, this is not the start of a pity-party or to ask for sympathies (although, that being said, I always appreciate everyone's support). However, I don't think that it is a stretch to think that we have all been there: stressed, worn-out, and/or confused.

So, something that I like to do when I'm having a bad day like this is think about some things that made me smile or laugh recently. Here goes:

- My cousin and have been using some really nerdy expletives lately such as, "What the Faulkner?," "Slaughterhouse Five," and "Wuthering Heights."

- The other night, I was watching Glee Season 1 and my housemate walked in eating some Sunchips. I started singing to her in a dramatic manner...for a good three minutes before she noticed. Someone was a little engrossed in her chips.

- I get to go visit some lovely ladies this weekend and I'm super pumped.

- I have been reading "The Host" and I just love getting lost in a fabulous book.

- My post title made me think of this hilarious song; I loved this musical. The songs were just so catchy and they remind me of singing them in gym class in high school with my bestie (yeah, we were those girls.)

So, the next time you may be feeling down, it might help to jot down a couple of positives; to really see the great things going on in your life.

Welp, I'm off to pack for the weekend. Have a fantastic night!

Dress - H&M - Buffalo Exchange
Sweater/Tights - Thrifted
Necklace - Giveaway Win
Boots - Christmas Gift - Kohl's

Fearless Fourteen: March 10-16

Hey hey everyone!

This post is going to be pretty short and sweet mostly because I am exhausted.  I traveled back to school today and there is something about driving that just wears a girl out.

And the fact that I'm turning into an old lady and need to be in bed by 11 pm apparently. Probably a good thing since spring break is over and I need to be up for work at 6:45 tomorrow.

Shoot, I should probably set my alarms. I really loved the fact that I didn't have to do that for the past eight or so days. Oh well - I really like my internship, so I'm just going to look on the bright side.

Sweet dreams, all!

March 10: My only "homework" for the week.

March 11: I thrifted these lovely Pyrex salt and pepper shakers for only $1.30! I had never seen anything like them before and didn't really know what they were at first - but you can bet I knew that pattern! ;) You can get your own on Ebay here.

March 13: We had a rainstorm. I know this picture looks a little bland, but it was sure lovely to see something come from the sky that wasn't heavy and white. And the rain smell sure was lovely!

March 14: Details of the new jacket I thrifted. (Available on clearance here)

March 15: I love this book. If you haven't read it you should. I know that it is Stephenie Meyer and she gets a bad rap for writing "Twilight," but seriously, this book is great. My friend and I watched the movie and it made me want to read the book again - probably about the tenth time.

March 15: A little Instagram selfie of my nephew dog, Abe. You can follow me on Instagram; there will probably be a lot of doggy selfies to come!

March 16: Home sweet messy home.

Gushing about Cigarette Pants and Ranting About Juan Pablo

Hey there everyone!

I hope that everyone has had a fabulous week so far.

I have been spring breaking it up. And that has included:

- Relaxing at home

- Catching up on the Bachelor.
Can I just interject and use my cousin's nerdy expletive - What the Faulkner! Juan Pablo - seriously? I know that the show is completely ridiculous, but it is such a fantastic guilty pleasure. But, JUAN PABLO? I can't. Even so many days later, I have no words. Well, I do, but I don't know how blog appropriate they are. This Tumblr post is pretty accurate though, painfully so. Sheesh. Here's to hoping that Andi is a much better Bachelorette.

-Thrifting, of course! I got to visit one of my favorite places at home - every Monday they have all their clothes, shoes, purses, etc. 50% off. My friends have gotten used to me declaring that "half off day is the best day!" I got these Audrey Hepburn style cigarette pants there over the summer for $1. And I love them; they are so comfortable and fit perfectly.

- Causing scenes with my cousin (mostly that involves laughing to the point of not breathing in public places.)

-Figuring out what I'm doing with the rest of my life (really the four months after graduation).

- Plus, I'm going out with my main gal pal, Maggie! People better watch out - because you won't find two classier broads around

All in all spring break has been pretty stellar.

Now, if I could find the motivation to finish a paper that is due when I get back. Yeah, not likely to happen tonight.

Happy Friday everyone!

Shirt//Belt//Necklace//Purse//Hat - Thrifted
Shoes - Fergalicious by Fergie - Thrifted ($1.50) - exact ones here
Vintage Cigarette Pants - Thrifted ($1.00)
Vintage bracelets - Thrifted ($.50 each)

I have been keeping a "thrifting inventory" of my items; basically where I got them and what I paid for them. I have been thinking about putting prices (like above) after the items that I know what I paid for. I find it fun to see what other people are paying for their clothes via thrifting. What do you think?

A Room with a View

Happy Monday, all!

I hope you are having a stellar start to your week! My day was pretty grand; it consisted of half off day (aka the best day) at my favorite thrift store, PA Dutch chicken potpie, and seeing my brothers. So, all in all a pretty good day!

Today I thought I would share with you some shots I took a little bit ago of my room up at school. We rent so, some things I can't really control, like carpet and what not, but I tried to make it as home-y as possible. It is one of my favorite places!

A lot of the things in my room are thrifted (obviously). My Pride and Prejudice and 500 Days of Summer boards were made my cousin. My desk and dresser are family heirlooms. If you are curious about anything else, feel free to ask!

Have a great Monday night, everyone!

Fearless Fourteen: March 3-9

I just realized that I have only posted 365 project posts for the past two weeks. It is hard not to feel bad about those things, but life can make it hard: jobs, on call shifts, midterms - it just gets to be a lot. Plus, today was just emotional. And draining. I'm super tired, so this might not be the peppiest post in the world. But, I'm on call until 1 a.m., so I'm trying to stay up just the tiniest bit longer so I can sleep without worrying about whether it will be interrupted or worse, that I might miss a call.

BUT. I'm at my parents house for the rest of the week, where I can relax, blog, take pictures, and read. I love Spring Break.

March 3: Shameless selfie. After a day off of work where I just spent most of it writing a paper, I need some lovely red lipstick. Perfect for a celebratory Happy Hour with a friend who just finished her thesis!

March 4: Fastnacht Day is one of many reasons (and the sweetest - literally) why I love being Pennsylvania Dutch. You can read a little bit about the history here.

March 5: I have been on a Disney kick lately.

March 6: I read somewhere one time that whenever you don't feel like you are pretty, just look at old pictures of your grandmothers and mother when they were your age and see how beautiful they were (and still are!). Your future children and grandchildren are going to think the same thing about you.
This is my mother's high school graduation photo. (I'm dying for her to do my hair like that.)

March 7: I was in Lancaster and got to visit one of my favorite vintage stores. I tried on this blue dress that was perfect (My dad even liked it - that alone is a miracle) except for the fact that it was just a smidgen too small in the shoulder region. *sigh*

March 8: Playing games with the fam, of course

March 9: More proof that I am secretly five years old. But hey, for 99 cents at the bumps and bents grocery store (where I got these shoes) I couldn't resist.

Hopefully things will be more eventful around these parts this week!
