There's More to Living Than Being Alive

Happy Monday everyone!

Hope that you had a wonderful and fabulous weekend!

I was just super pleased that the weather got oh so very lovely! Spring is finally here - thank goodness! It is such a relief to not have to wear a winter coat anymore.

I'm very surprised that I haven't featured this outfit on the blog before, because this is one of my "go-to" outfits for when I don't know what to wear. Super comfy, cute, and easy.

This hat is one of my favorite pieces. This is one of the few things that I took from my grandmother's Goodwill bags before she donated them and probably the piece I wear the most (except for maybe this shirt.)

We believe that this hat may have been made by my great Aunt Ella, who was a super cool lady! I learned through the research that I'm doing on my family for my history class that she mostly traveled throughout her life and didn't get married until she was in her 60's. My mom always says that I get my love my for travel partially from her.

Also, I have been on a lipstick kick lately; red is such a surprising color for a small college campus, so I really love rocking it some days - especially on days when I have a test and need that confidence boost!

Other than that life is pretty good and tad crazy just with the amount of work that comes with the end of the semester.

And it is so hard to stay focused when you know what it is sunny and 70 degrees out, but I guess I just have to push through. ;)

Shirt : Thrifted
Cami (underneath) : New York and Company: Thrifted

Ring: Claire's (super old)

Have a great start to your week everyone!

xoxo,

P.S. Again I was clueless on a post title, so I went for the old random song lyric trick - love this song

What a cute fallback outfit to have! I love the beanie and owl necklace. Also, way to rock the red lipstick girl :) I just bought a deep berry hue to try out, and so far I'm loving it.
And oh man, I know that the photos I posted today make it look sunny (which it was...when they were taken), but today it was snowing. SNOWING. -_- grrrrrr...
So. Enjoy your sunny weather! Haha!
I just want to say thank you for the encouraging comments as well <3 I love reading them!

I love the detailing on the cardigan and the florals. My favourite part is that sweet beautiful necklace. It reminds me I should wear a similar one I have again, thanks for the inspiration.

Oh my - that owl necklace and little hat definitely have my heart :-) That's so cool that it was made by your great aunt. I always find family history so fascinating. It's amazing what you can dig up once you begin searching.

You look adorable! I always appreciate when other bloggers post more casual outfits b/c I feel like I need a lot of inspiration in this department!

Haha! It's funny to read about such nice weather. As I'm sitting here typing this we're in the middle of an ice storm and there are branches falling down all over the place. Glad there's nice weather somewhere! I LOVE this outfit on you!! You look so cute/chic/pretty (and any other adjective synonymous with those words). It is wonderful. Those boots are really great! I'm definitely loving lipstick too-you're right about it giving one confidence-especially since not many girls rock it anymore! What a pretty shade this is on you, wowza. Have a great day Lovely!

Small college campus!? I thought you went to Penn State? Isn't it like 40K people?! I can't imagine the campus being small. I've only driven through a few times. But it is indeed out there! I love the lipstick anyhow, is where I'm going with this! It's a great go to outfit
